Principals Message
Hello! And WELCOME to Mountain View Elementary School, where we show our Wolf Pride and green & white shines bright! We value our school diversity and follow the MV3, Responsible, Respectful, & Safe! I am Ms. Grady, the building principal, and I wanted to take the time to introduce myself to you.
My name is Ms. Melissa Grady. I graduated from Millersville University with a dual certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received my master’s degree from Wilkes University in Early Childhood Literacy. I then received my principal certification through the University of Scranton and my ESL certification through Wilkes University.
I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grades, with the majority of my 13 years of experience in kindergarten, second and fifth grades. I was also a reading intervention teacher in grades K-8. I taught for 8 years in Harrisburg School District and 5 years, here in Central Dauphin School District at South Side Elementary School. My most recent and treasured adventure has been being the assistant principal at Tri-Community Elementary School for 6 school years.
I am striving for a positive school climate and culture where everyone feels like they belong and are valued. I absolutely love our kids and look forward to each day at Mountain View Elementary School; building relationships with the entire Mountain View Elementary Community.
I want you to know that I encourage you to reach out to me! I look forward to our school year together and our continued partnership!
Sincerely,
Ms. Grady
